iPhone XS has SHORTER battery life than iPhone X – despite Apple’s claims the new smartphone lasts longer

Earlier this month, Apple launched three new iPhones , which they promised would have improved battery life.

But despite these claims, tests have revealed that the iPhone XS actually has a shorter battery life than the iPhone X .

Tom’s Guide put the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone X through a rigorous battery life test.

The test revealed that the iPhone XS lasted 9 hours and 41 minutes, while the iPhone XS Max lasted 10 hours and 38 minutes.

But the iPhone X was found to have a more impressive battery life of 10 hours and 49 minutes.

Tom’s Guide said: “The iPhone XS Max turned in a run time of 10 hours and 38 minutes, which is well above the smartphone category average of 9:48.

“However, the iPhone XS lasted for just 9:41, which is slightly below the average.

“Last year’s iPhone X lasted 10:49 on the same test, despite claims from Apple that the iPhone XS was supposed to last 30 minutes longer.”

Further tests revealed that all three iPhones also had shorter battery lives than rival models – including the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 , OnePlus 6 and Google Pixel 2 XL.

The findings may make you think twice before investing in the new iPhone XS!
