Audio-Technica has announced a slew of wireless headphones at CES 2018. The newly announced Bluetooth headphones include DSR5BT for audiophiles, fitness-oriented SPORT70BT and SPORT50BT, ANC700BT for noise cancellation, and the budget S200BT headphone.
The ATH-DSR5BT features Audio-Technica’s Pure Digital Drive system. Using a Trigence Semiconductor Dnote processor, the in-ear headphone bypasses the digital-to-analog process resulting in a more natural audio performance, the company says. The headphones come with support for aptX HD, aptX, AAC and SBC codecs in Bluetooth mode, and a rechargeable battery. The Audio-Technica DSR5BT headphones will start shipping later this year.
The new QuietPoint over-ear wireless active noise-cancelling headphones come with an ANC system that offers noise cancellation. The headphones feature an intuitive touch and swipe control system for answering calls and controlling volume and playback. They support Bluetooth AAC, aptX, and SBC codecs. The headphones can also deliver high resolution ‘Audio-compliant’ playback from audio sources when connected with a cable. It provides up to 25 hours of battery life in ANC and Bluetooth mode. The Audio-Technica ANC700BT headphones will be available later in 2018.
Audio-Technica SPORT70BT and SPORT50BT
The new ATH-SPORT70BT and ATH-SPORT50BT headphones offer fitness-oriented features like an ear-hook design, IPX5 waterproof-rated construction, and built-in microphone and controls. The company says users can wash the SonicSport headphones under running water. Meanwhile, the rechargeable battery provides up to six hours of continuous use. The headphones come with optional ambient noise hear-through function which can be used to listen to environmental sounds. These headphones will be available later this year.
The Audio-Technica S200BT over-ear headphones are targetted at the budget segment. They are built around a 40mm driver and a 40-hour battery life. Similar to the other new headphones, the ATH-S200BTs will be available in early 2018.
